Hugh C. McBride is an award-winning writer, editor & photographer whose words and images have been featured in a variety of online and print publications throughout the United States and Europe.

Since he feels quite silly writing about himself in the third person, he's going to stop doing that now.

A former high school English teacher, I spent six years as a civilian journalist for the U.S. Army in Stuttgart, Germany. During my tenure as editor of The Citizen newspaper, I was twice selected as the Army's top civilian journalist in Europe, and the paper earned the prestigious Thomas Jefferson award in 2005 as the premiere tabloid-format publication in the entire Department of Defense.

Since returning to the States, I have focused on online content development and social media marketing. My responsibilities have included writing and editing web content, creating original copy for landing pages and e-mail marketing campaigns, and developing & implementing social media marketing strategies.

Whether reporting on a week with World War II veterans in Normandy or developing a multi-faceted marketing campaign for an emerging business, my goal is to infuse my writing with tireless research, evocative imagery and unique perspectives that reflect my respect for my craft, my clients and my readers.
